Kibitsuhiko Shrine

This shrine enshrines Ookibitsuhiko-no-Mikoto, who protected the ancient Kibi region and was worshipped as a god of both literature and martial arts, and is said to be the model for the folktale "Momotaro." It is also famous as the Ichinomiya of Bizen Province, the sacred land and hometown of the Momotaro legend, Kagura, and Bizen swords.
Kibitsuhiko-no-Mt. It is said that the shrine was built on the site.
In the precincts, there is "Ura Shrine", which enshrines the Japanese spirit of Ura, who brought various cultures such as iron making to Kibi Province and was later enshrined as a god and left many achievements with Kibitsuhiko-no-Mikoto.
